When Yeshiva High School of Monsey first opened its doors, it was a realization of a dream to have a boys High School in Monsey that offers an extraordinary Limudei Kodesh program combined with a cutting-edge Secular curriculum. The yeshiva has seen tremendous סייעתא דשמיא and growth and it is incredible to witness it’s bochrim growing and completing מסכתות.
The yeshiva offers a varied curriculum with courses in Computer Science and programming, Science, Mathematics, and Humanities, including extracurricular activities and sports. The talmidim are encouraged to take on independent projects, guided by the professional faculty, who support learning initiatives. One such project is developing an app called Shulert that services the Jewish community. The students developed this app, which offers alerts when minyanim in their area are about to begin. The yeshiva focuses on individualized programs that encourage each bochur at the yeshiva to focus on the area in which they most want to grow. Extra incentive programs such as the Month of Excellence Program motivate bochurim to work on improving in three areas; Torah, Tefilla, and Bein Adam L’chaveiro, where each talmid selects his own individual program. The reward for participation is a skiing trip, paintballing or a sporting event, also tailored to the individual preferences of the students. |
